چکیده

Introduction Imaging of samples with very short T2 requires data acquisition to start immediately after excitation. In the SWIFT technique [1] this is accomplished by playing out a gapped frequency-swept pulse while concurrently acquiring data during the gaps. At the same time gradients are applied permanently and stepped in a 3D radial mode. Thus SWIFT combines the short-T2 capability of the silent radial FID method [2] with the ability of swept RF pulses to cover large bandwidths under B1 restrictions [3, 4]. Within the general concept of simultaneous excitation and acquisition (SEA) introduced with the SWIFT technique, we suggest a number of improved sampling strategies, addressing reconstruction stability, SNR, and artefacts related to pulse errors [3, 5].

Reconstruction Strategies for MRI with Simultaneous Excitation and Acquisition

Introduction Imaging of samples with very short T2 requires data acquisition to start immediately after excitation. In the radial FID method [1] this is accomplished by excitation and acquisition during a permanently applied gradient. However, for high bandwidths the FID approach must use very short RF pulses, limiting the possible flip angle according to the given maximum B1 amplitude. On the ...

Fast magnetic resonance imaging simulation with sparsely encoded wavelet domain data in a compressive sensing framework

Randomly encoded compressive sensing (CS) has potential in fast acquisition of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data in most naturally compressible images. However, there is no guaranteed good performance for general applications by any of the traditional CS-MRI theoretical schemes developed so far. On the other hand, recent research demonstrates that adaptive sampling exploiting the tree struc...

Simultaneous acquisition of image and navigator slices using CAIPIRINHA for 4D MRI.

PURPOSE Respiratory organ motion is still the major challenge of various image-guided treatments in the abdomen. Dynamic organ motion tracking, necessary for the treatment control, can be performed with volumetric time-resolved MRI that sequentially acquires one image and one navigator slice. Here, a novel imaging method is proposed for truly simultaneous high temporal resolution acquisition. ...

Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting by exploiting Low Rank

Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF) is a relatively new approach that provides quantitative MRI measures using randomized acquisition. Extraction of physical quantitative tissue parameters is performed off-line, based on acquisition with varying parameters and a dictionary generated according to the Bloch equations. MRF uses hundreds of radio frequency (RF) excitation pulses for acquisition...
